Join us Tuesday, Feb. 9th, from 6-7pm to learn about the Kindergarten year at Montessori. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided!
In Montessori schools all over the world, each classroom is based upon a three year age span and learning cycle. Dr. Maria Montessori found that children grew dramatically in those three years, helping each other and building a sense of community. The classroom environment is designed for self-directed learning, and materials that are appropriate for children ages 3-6. As the child moves through his/her 3rd year in the classroom, he/she is presented with new materials that match his/her development. The older children get to practice being leaders, and guiding their same age and younger peers in lessons and community.
